Probation Violation Withdrawn – Client Released in Rhode Island

Our client, who was on probation for a prior domestic charge, was subsequently charged with multiple probation violations on his cases.  A probation violation in Rhode Island is a serious allegation and the penalties here included possible jail time.  

After discussing the situation with our client, we decided the strategy was to quickly engage with the probation office directly. We contacted the probation departments at the district and superior courthouses and worked swiftly with them to clarify our client’s situations. Thanks to our attorney’s quick action and dedication, the probation department and Attorney General agreed to dismiss the probation violations that same day.  

Therefore, our client was released from jail that same day and did not have to wait extra time in jail for a probation violation hearing.
