No Complaint Issued at Massachusetts Clerk Magistrate’s Hearing for Leaving the Scene of Property Damage

June, 2021

Our client received notice for a Clerk Magistrate’s Hearing in Massachusetts, where they were alleged to have committed the offense of leaving the scene of property damage. Our client denied these allegations. We pushed to get the case materials ahead of time to help us make an argument at the Clerk Magistrate’s Hearing. We appeared before the Clerk Magistrate for the hearing and argued that the case should not proceed. We presented our own evidence with arguments to the Clerk Magistrate to help them in their decision. As a result, the Clerk Magistrate agreed to not issue the complaint.
