Motion to Vacate Allowed and Speeding Ticket Dismissed Rhode Island

May, 2021

Our client was found Guilty originally for a Speeding ticket in Rhode Island. After speaking with us, we decided to file a Motion to Vacate the guilty verdict. The court granted our Motion to Vacate the Judgment. As a result, the guilty verdict was taken away. We decided to select a trial date to fight the Speeding charges.

At the new trial date, I made an argument to the police about our client and the circumstances of the ticket. As a result, the police officer agreed to dismiss the charges. We then went before the judge, who dismissed the Speeding charges against our client.
Therefore, we were able to get the guilty verdict set aside and the charges eventually dismissed. This preserved our client’s driving record.
