Possession of Alcohol by Minor Dismissed and Sealed

Our client was charged with Possession of Alcohol by a Minor for allegedly possessing alcohol prior to them turning 21 years of age. This is a criminal offense in Rhode Island. We spoke to our client about what happened and then spoke to the prosecutor for the police department. As a result of our conversation, the prosecutor agreed to dismiss the charge. We then requested the charges be sealed by the judge, which was granted. This prevented our client from having a criminal record.
