Possession of Alcohol – Dismissed and Sealed

Our client was charged with Possession of an Alcoholic Beverage by Persons 18-21 – 1st Offense. This is a misdemeanor criminal offense in Rhode Island that can affect your criminal record.

After speaking with the prosecution, we were able to convince the prosecutor to dismiss the charges. We then filed a Motion to Seal our client’s criminal record. The Motion to Seal was allowed. The charge was taken off of our client’s criminal record, which preserved their clean record.

Therefore, the charges of Minor in Possession of Alcohol were dismissed and sealed.
