Dismissed – Assault and Battery

Our client was charged with punching a person that he knew. We did our own investigation and were able to obtain information that this person had made threats to our client multiple times and wanted to fight our client. This included not only threats against our client but included racial slurs directed towards our client. We set the case down for trial and, on the day of trial, the Prosecution felt they did not have enough evidence to proceed on the charges. Therefore, we made a motion to dismiss the case which was granted. The charges of Assault and Battery were dismissed.
