Dismissed and Sealed – Disorderly Conduct

January, 2021

Our client was charged with Disorderly Conduct in Rhode Island. Disorderly Conduct is a misdemeanor crime in Rhode Island. It has the following potential penalties: potential misdemeanor criminal conviction, up to 6 months in jail, up to $500 fine and/or possible community service.

We were able to bring information to the prosecution that convinced them to drop the charges against our client. Therefore, the Disorderly Conduct charge was dismissed.

We decided to file a Motion to Seal the Disorderly Conduct charge to have it taken off our client’s record. The Motion was allowed and the client’s charge was sealed, which preserved our client’s criminal record.
