Simple Assault and Disorderly Conduct – Dismissed and Sealed

Our client was charged with Simple Assault and Disorderly Conduct in Rhode Island. Simple Assault and Disorderly Conduct are misdemeanor crimes and have potential jail as a penalty.

After speaking with the prosecution and presenting information to them, the prosecution agreed to drop the charges against our client. Therefore, both the Simple Assault and Disorderly Conduct charges were dismissed.

As a result, we decided to file a Motion to Seal the Simple Assault and Disorderly Conduct charges to have them taken off our client’s record. The Motion was allowed and the client’s charges were sealed, which preserved our client’s criminal record.
