Violation of No Contact Order Dismissed and No Probation Violation 32F Rhode Island
October 2022
Our client who was on probation for a prior domestic assault charge was subsequently charged with a probation violation and new criminal charge for violation of a domestic no contact order. Both of these are criminal charges in Rhode Island and face a possible punishment of jail.
We did our own investigation into the case and decided to set the case for trial and a violation hearing. At this proceeding, the prosecution was required to bring in evidence to prove their case. The court had previously held our client without bail. On the day of trial and violation hearing, the case was dismissed and they were not found in violation of their probation. Our client was released from jail as a result.
