License Returned After RMV Board of Appeals Hearing
November 2019
Our client's license was suspended in Massachusetts after taking a "24D" disposition on a First Offense Operating Under the Influence of Alcohol. Our client was eligible to receive a hardship license. They went to the RMV to obtain a hardship license, and the RMV Hearing Officer denied them a hardship because our client had a Rhode Island license. They appealed and hired our firm to represent them in front of the RMV Board of Appeals. We put together a memorandum in support of our position and made arguments in front of the RMV Board of Appeals in Boston, Massachusetts. As a result, the RMV Board of Appeals ruled in our favor and reinstated our client's license.
