Dismissed - Domestic Assault and Domestic Disorderly Conduct in Rhode Island

Our client was charged with Domestic Assault and Domestic Disorderly Conduct in Rhode Island. Both of these charges are misdemeanors in Rhode Island. If convicted, our client would have faced possible criminal convictions, batterer's intervention classes, extra monetary assessments and other penalties. We did our own investigation into the case that was separate form the police investigation. Afterwards, we were able to have a conversation with the prosecutor about some of the issues in the case.
After our conversations, eventually the prosecution dismissed the charges based on a lack of evidence to proceed with the case.
